Trip Overview

The Living Root Bridge Trail is Northeast Voyage's most beloved journey — an 8-day odyssey through Meghalaya's rain-soaked highlands, crystalline rivers, and living forests. You'll cross bridges that were grown, not built; float on a river that seems made of air; and walk through a village so clean it has won the title of Asia's Cleanest Village. Our small groups of max 12 mean you'll actually experience Meghalaya — not just photograph it. Local trip captains who've walked these routes hundreds of times share stories, detours, and hidden corners that no guidebook lists.
